Wheel House Foreman and crew, Oelwein, IA903 viewsThis picture is of my great grandfather, Niels Peterson Toft, center of front row, at the Oelwein Roundhouse where he was the wheel house foreman. I don't know the year, but he became foreman in about 1899. When the death of his mother in Haderslev, Denmark occurred, it was announced in the November 1929 issue of THE GREAT WESTERN MAGAZINE. He was wheel house foreman until he retired. The names of the other men are unknown. Submitted by Carol Bishop.
