Chicago Passenger Terminal, looking south2768 viewsThis view of the C.P.T. looks south over the train shed and then the back of the head house. The Lake Street elevated is in the near foreground and a stub-end baggage/express area just beyond. There is no date on the photo, but it is probably the early 1950's. The City of Chicago demanded the removal huge sign in the upper left in 1972. The UP withdrew its share of the sign, and its logo, in Oct. 1955 when the Streamliners were pulled. Sign rebuilt 1956.
