CGW K-5s 928749 viewsBaldwin built No. 928 and four sisters in 1913 and three more in 1916. The Chicago Great Western scrapped 925-927 in 1932 but retained 928-932 until 1950. During the first few years of the Great Depression the CGW also scrapped 23 of the small Pacifics converted from 2-6-2's. Date, place and photographer unknown. Submitted by Edward J. Ozog.

CGW K-5s 929757 viewsChicago Great Western No. 929 was built by Baldwin in 1913 and was scrapped in 1950. From 1932 until 1949, the CGW passenger roster consisted of six 4-6-0's, six small Pacifics converted from 2-6-2's , and five K-5s Pacifics. The coal pusher shows clearly in the tender. CGW K-5s 932851 viewsNo. 932 is the last of the three K-5s Pacifics built for the Chicago Great Western by Baldwin in 1916. They were identical to the five built three years before.
