E 617 Racine, WI6781 viewsClass E Pacific 617, 4-6-2, was built in 1916 as 1617. The 1617 and the 1620 were rebuilt and streamlined for the Minnesota "400" that connected with the Twin Cities "400." They were renumbered when the diesels arrived. Their later years were spent on the Wisconsin Division hauling local passenger trains. This photo, of train #119, was taken by Bob Gaulke at Racine, WI 6-3-52.
