M&StL H-1 441409 viewsThe first two M&StL 2-8-0's were built by Baldwin in 1898 for the Iowa Central, one with simple cylinders the other a Vauclain compound. No. 441 was rebuilt with simple cylinders in 1911. Note that she has a Belpair firebox. A Robert Graham photo, place unidentified but probably taken near the 1936 retirement of the H-1.
